Issaquah School District

The Issaquah School District bought Winterbrook Farms, 80-acres along May Valley Road, in June, 2006 and has stated that it considers building two schools on the property, an elementary and a middle school.

The FCUAC expressed great concern over this purchase because of the impact it will have on the rural character of the May Valley. From traffic impacts, safety to equestrian use along May Valley Road, and the draw of commuters and buses from the urban areas that surround the valley were among the concerns expressed.

80-acre Winterbrook Farm along May Valley Road, which functioned as an equestrian center with fine grazing pasture lands used for bording, was purchased in June, 2006 by the Issaquah School District
