Home-based business ordinance
In June, 2006 the King Councy Growth Management and Natural Resources Committee (BMNRC) passed a draft change to the home-based businesses ordinance. Along with ordinance changes for Forestry and Agriculture, Business Relations and Economic Development (BRED), along with the Department of Development and Environmental Services (DDES), are taking these proposals out for public comment.
The comment period ends August 10, 2006 with the results of the public comment reported back the GMNRC by the end of August. The assumption is that GMNRC would make a final recommendation to the full King County Council in September in order for these changes to go into effect during the current interim King County Comprehensive Plan update.
To learn about the specific ordinances and to make formal comment look for the ordinance changes on the King County BRED web pages.
