Discussion of Annual UAC Forum of September 30, 2003:
§ |
Microphone was needed. People strained to hear. |
§ |
All the UACs should have a coordinated theme. |
§ |
Some trivial items seemed inappropriate. |
§ |
Should have more effective work with the press to make points about the important issues. |
§ |
King County has previously videotaped the forum, but they did not this year. Why? |
§ |
It is very difficult to distill a full year's worth of work into one meeting. Perhaps 2 to 4 times per year would be more effective. It was suggested 1)UAC presidents meet more often to coordinate cooperation 2)Regular emails of agenda to all the UAC presidents to keep all up to date |
§ |
A write-up of our experience as a Hosting Handbook would be useful to all the UACs so that the process does not have to be rediscovered each year. |
David R presented a letter drafted by MVEC and the UAC (Marshall B.):
§ |
There was about an hour of discussion. The letter is available here. |
