Vashon Island Resolution Regarding Healthcare Insurance Coverage

Much discussion that while we recognize a need, meaningful action on our part may not be within our perview, nor fit within schedule constraints considering the great number of issues we have identified as of importance to our community. |

The copy of the resolution emailed to the UAC, addresses the issue beyond the King County level. Consensus of the councilmembers is that is beyond the scope of our charter, and thus inappropriate for us to address. |

Motion was made and seconded to call a vote on whether to support this resolution: 2 abstentions |

Four Creeks UAC will not support this resolution. |
Evendell
|

A letter opposing the Zone Reclassification for the Evendell development (R-4 to R-6) was presented by Gwendolyn High on behalf of the Citizens' Alliance for a Responsible Evendell. |

Motion was made and seconded to endorse the letter as presented. |
|

David Rockabrand signed the letter as President of the UAC. |
|

There was much discussion of committee methodology, generally in the contrast of broad topic research and preparedness committees and issue or action specific committees. Neither methodology was agreed to be more correct. At the end of the discussion, both varieties remained on the table. |
