Minutes of the June 26, 2002 Meeting of the Four Creeks U.A.C., special meeting called by President Oscar Bandelin.
The meeting began at 7:19 p.m. In attendance were board members Oscar Bandelin, Gwendolyn High, Rod McFarland, David Rockabrand, Tom Tregoning, and Tami Harris.
NewCastle Incident; Deputy Herzog: Oscar Bandelin said he thought the UAC should take a stand and express our support for the family members of the officer, and the community officials. It was decided that the Four Creeks UAC would send a condolence letter to the family of Deputy Herzog. Rod McFarland had a card with him that was filled out during the meeting. In addition, a letter was drafted to Ron Sims, with copies to all King County Council members, and Sheriff Reichert, highlighting the necessity for additional protection in our communities. Gwendolyn High is working on getting statistical information and industry standards to back up the known low level coverage we have in our area. The letter was drafted, a motion was made to accept the letter. The motion passed.
