Minutes of the June 19, 2002 Meeting of the Four Creeks U.A.C.
The meeting began at 7:00 p.m. In attendance were board members Oscar Bandelin, Gwendolyn High, David Rockabrand, Tom Tregoning, Rod McFarland, Cynthia Green, Dave Dahlin, and Tom Fisher (7:35).
Approval of Minutes: Minutes from May were approved.
Treasurer’s Report: No change in account status: $69.75 at Washington Mutual and $8520.29 at King County
Discussion: Discussion regarding twice a month meeting began. Gwendolyn High said good idea and Oscar agreed. Tom Tregoning voiced concern about 3 misses and you are ousted. Cynthia Green said Oscar Bandelin could issue the every other meeting as a special meeting thus circumventing the bylaws. Dave Dahlin suggested a trial run. Oscar Bandelin reminded us we have no voice in King County Government so what is the point of additional meetings. Members in the audience suggested we do have a voice and wanted us to meet more often. A special meeting was called for July 10th to discuss roads and draft a letter re 156th.
Police Report: Deputy Seth Grant relayed 65 arrests in last month at parties for underage drinking and DIA. Regarding speeding along May Valley road he said he has not found the heavy trucks speeding but has caught several cars speeding. Discussion about how to help make MVR safer ensued. "Local Delivery Only" signs/rules are not enforceable as a way to deter heavy truck use.
Advertisement: Tom Fisher said he did not received flyers so did not post any in community. Also news papers did not print our notice of meeting.
Maps: Gwendolyn High is still working on complete set of maps for UAC. Rod McFarland said he has a CD from David Irons that should have latest redistricting boundaries.
E-Mails:Discussion re emails among council members as constituting business and quorum. Redmond council is being sued by citizens over this type of action.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
